Asymmetry aside, when viewed in profile this Easy Cut briar readily gives the impression of having a ship-like prow, and impression strengthened by the pipe's seeming forward momentum. The unusual shaping means this is definitely more the sort of pipe that you cradle, holding it from underneath like a brandy glass, rather than around the bowl with thumb and forefinger, but then holding it this way would seem to make the best of mellow warmth sure to be exuded by the thick chamber walls anyway.
